Secondary sources may analyse, identify, explain or critique primary sources. 

 

For example:

  • Primary sources – the main primary sources are case law and legislation
  • Secondary sources – the most frequently used secondary sources include books, journal articles, loose-leaf commentaries and legal encyclopaedias.
